Australia's only stockist of safety stair rods. Shipped from the Gold Coast

Safer stairs on every job

Australia's only
safety stair rods.

A loose drop sheet slides under foot and hides the edge of the step below. Fezz X rods lock the sheet into every tread, so the edges stay visible and the trip risk drops. No tape, no residue.

Falls, trips
and slips.

On a staircase, a drop sheet that moves is a trip hazard for you, your crew and the client. These are the numbers behind it.

21.8%

of serious workers' compensation claims in Australia come from falls, trips and slips.

8.6 wks

median time off work for a fall, trip or slip claim. Knees and ankles take the worst of it.

Five seconds
a step.

No tools, no tape. Repeat on each step.

  1. 01Sheet the stairsLay the drop sheet down the staircase.
  2. 02CompressPush the rod short in your hands.
  3. 03PlaceSet it on the sheet at the back of the tread.
  4. 04ReleaseIt springs out to both stringers. Repeat on every step.

Ditch the
tape.

Tape lifts under foot, and a lifted sheet is a trip hazard. It's also slow to lay and leaves residue. Rods go in once and hold for the whole job. Times below are a guide for a 14 step staircase.

Liam packing Fezz X stair rods into the carry bag

Why Liam
stocks them.

Liam runs Fezz X Painting on the Gold Coast. He was taping drop sheets to stairs on every job and couldn't buy safety stair rods in Australia, only from the UK with weeks of shipping. So he brought them in under the Fezz X name.

He uses them on his own jobs first.

Why can't I get these at Bunnings?

Because nobody else in Australia stocks them. Until now the only way to get safety stair rods was ordering from the UK, paying international postage and waiting weeks. Fezz X is the only Australian stockist, and we ship from the Gold Coast.

Are they a safety product?

They keep drop sheets locked in place and step edges visible, which reduces the trip risk on sheeted stairs. They work alongside your normal site safety, not instead of it.

Will they fit my stairs?

Each rod adjusts from 710 to 1020 mm, which covers most residential staircases. Measure between the stringers (the boards either side of the steps) at the back of a tread.

Will they mark the walls or skirting?

The ends are capped and sit against the stringer, not the wall. Keep the caps on and check them before each job.

Do they work on open or floating stairs?

They need something to push against on both sides. For open stairs with no stringer, get in touch and we'll talk you through options.

Can I paint the stringers with them in?

No, the rods push against the stringers. Paint those first or last, and fit the rods for everything above.

How fast is shipping?

We ship from the Gold Coast, Australia wide. Local pickup is available too.
